“OK …….. if you N E E D them”, I resigned.
I emphasized the word need to her to go with our (and probably everyone else’s) financial responsibilities. I need to eat. I need to sleep. I need clean clothes …etc. So if you need these shoes, go ahead, get them. I have no problem with that if you N E E D them.
That must have got her. Instantly she go the point. I could see the guilt in her eyes.
“OK, maybe I don’t need all of them, maybe a few”, she said. Either way, I don’t really mind if she keeps them all or not. I like her to have nice things if that’s what makes her happy. All that I ask, is that somebody, anybody, please explain this shoe fetish!!!! (Even my dog has the fetish, well, she chews on the heels of the shoes, but only on Michele’s shoes?!?!?!?)

You answered your own question…she needs 7 pairs because some get chewed up by your dog…she ‘needs’ the backups…;)
I love shoes too.
Sometimes we need strappy shoes, closed toed, open toed but not strappy, some with buckles, some with ties, some with bows, some with flowers, some with ruffles, high heels, low heels, higher heels…these all give off a different attitude. Am I feeling fierce, girly, sexy, flirty, sporty, or all of the above…our shoes need to represent how we feel…or at least portray how we want to feel/look.
Sorry, Im sure it was a rhetorical question but I couldn’t resist
